The Focal Point in Your Bedroom
When you decide to design or re-design your bedroom, an easy way to make a room "pop" is to create a focal point and then build outward from there. A focal point can be a piece of art, vase of flowers, piece of furniture or even a bed in your bedroom.
Once way to make your bed a focal point is to place it in an unexpected angle. Most people assume that the
bed in a
bedroom will be in the middle of the wall and facing outward. Angle your bed in a corner space and let it be the center of attention in the room. Triangular-shaped
night stands will make a great addition to this type of placement of the
bed as they will fit up against the wall and the bed without creating unnecessary lines.
Above all, make your
bedroom relaxing. Choose soft color schemes for
bedrooms such as soft blues and greens or earth brown tones create a subdued, relaxing tone. A great
bed to use as a focal point is the
Whistler Pine Panel Bed. This
bed is made from New Zealand Pine and finished in a warm honey tone. The wood used in the construction of this
bed has been dried to assure low moisture retention as well as warping, twisting and cracking - this ensures a long life for your
bed.
Add big comfy pillows and use touches of the colors used in your
bed in your window treatments and in various places around your room to make the colors carry throughout your interior.
