Tips For a Great Night's Sleep
You toss and turn and you can't sleep a wink all night. The next day at work you're tired and full of aches. What can you do?
If you're tossing and turning, the culprit may be your bed itself. Make sure you have a comfortable bed that fits your body. Invest in a good sturdy frame and don't go cheaply on your mattresses. Spring for the best you can afford in order to ensure that your back and hips are properly supported as you snooze.
Another issue is blocking out noise. You might think those outside noises and lights don't play a part in disrupting your sleep but they may very well be doing so. You can spring for some heavy duty curtains around your windows or better yet,
get a canopy bed and put a heavy canopy made out of upholstery fabric around the bed and it will give you a lovely little place to slumber that will be like having your own little nook in the world when you close the canopy curtains. It will do a double duty of helping minimize the noise as well as blocking out the light from outside from bothering you.
Turn off the television. If you sleep with the television on, studies show that you're probably not sleeping deeply. Ditto for the radio. Get rid of outside noises and influences that might be causing disruptions to your sleep.
Another issue might be caffeine before bedtime. If you like something warm, try a glass of warm milk which will also release endorphins that will cause you to become sleepy; or chamomile tea which has natural relaxants in it that will help you relax and sleep.
Use these tips and have a great night's sleep instead of tossing and turning!

Lighting The Way
Lighthouses have long been symbols of lighting the way and showing wayward sailors the safe passage home. Whether you or someone you know is an admirer of all things ocean related or loves to collect lighthouses, there is a fantastic artwork set available that will look fantastic on your wall. The
"View from the Lighthouse I and II" is a set of two artworks that will arrive ready to hang. The colors are sharp but also done in neutral tones and will blend easily into any decor.
This lighthouse pair will make a great couple's gift for a newlywed couple celebrating their first holiday season as man and wife and also if you have someone near and dear that into Feng Shui as part of their decorating scheme, they will appreciate not only the symbolism of the lighthouses but also the fact they are in a set of two and will encourage balance and harmony in the room.
Lighthouses are also symbols of wisdom and are said to bring luck to students who have them in their rooms. If you have a college student that could use a nudge, give the a lighthouse with a card that says the lighthouse brings clarity and light to all things studious and watch their smile as they open both of these fabulous artworks.
If you want something special for someone on your gift giving list or you're just in the mood to treat yourself to something new for your walls, you can't go wrong with a set of lighthouses to show you the way!

Setting Up a Guest Room
With holiday season fast approaching you will no doubt be needing a place for guests to sleep. If your kids have gone off to college or you have an extra room, it's easy to turn it into a guest room.
First of all, your guests will need someplace to sleep. If you want your extra room to have other uses and you don't have guests too often except around holiday time, you might be wiser to invest in a daybed that can serve as a place to sit as well as a place to sleep when needed and won't compromise a lot of space in the room when it is not in use.
Next, you will want to make sure that your guests have comfortable bedding. For a good uniform look, invest in a
Fiddlestix Daybed Comforter Collection. The set comes with five pieces that will help make your room look very pulled together. The set includes a comforter, three pillow shams and a bed skirt for a uniform look. The set is designed to be used on day beds so you don't have to "make it fit" the way you do with some twin bed sheet sets when used on the unique contours of a daybed.
The set uses a textured plain weave which gives this set a comfortable and elegant look with an expensive linen feel. The shades are neutral and will blend beautifully into any decor with touches of black in the form of piping; it will make a nice addition to any decor.

Pure Country Charm
If you want a way to make your kitchen a little warmer and a lot more inviting, go a little country in your kitchen. Whether you go French Country or American Country, the result will be the same and your room will be warmer and much cozier.
Country charm isn't hard to come by. You just need to think simple and bring country elements into your room. Roosters make a fabulous country statement and can be paired nicely with a very functional piece of furniture such as a kitchen butler.
During the fall season, you can gather leaves and press them between sheets of clear contact paper and make some country place mats for your table. The colors of fall will be captured nicely and the "raw" quality of the place mats will have a country charm all their own.
Search out antique stores for old ice tongs from a time people didn't have refrigeration in their homes and relied on blocks of ice to keep things cool. Other common kitchen implements from days gone by hung cleverly on your walls will lend a fun appeal to your kitchen. Make your seating cushy and comfy and you'll enhance the warm and cozy feeling in your kitchen area.
Use these tips and make your kitchen the country conversation nook everyone will be clamoring to visit.

Get Creative With Fish
Fish have so many meanings and they bring a fun vibe to your room when used as part of a fun decor item. A set of
Fish Themed Tiles is a great way to bring bright colors to your room. The resin tiles are large sized, measuring in at twelve inches wide and twelve inches high and come in a set of four.
If you are or you have a sport diving enthusiast in your life these tiles will make an outstanding gift this holiday season. The tiles have a look of heavy weight stone but are actually constructed of lightweight resin and have a different picture of a fish. The fish used are all images of fish found commonly on reefs around the world and will be familiar to anyone that loves to dive. Each piece is a real work of art with backgrounds featuring faded in pieces of antique French post cards and the word "poisson" which is French for "fish" emblazoned on each tile in small and plain black lettering.
There are faded images of black ink scroll work that resembles tree roots and antiquated stamps also included on these tiles creating something much more than just an image of a fish on your walls!
The tiles will make a great grouping on your wall and you can hang them in an artistic square or diamond shape to make a real impact on your wall or you can scatter them on the four walls around your room and have a splash of color all the way around. Each of the four fish used are brightly colored and centered in the middle of each tile.
