Need More Cabinet Space? Think Pot Rack!
It doesn't matter if you have ten, twenty or even thirty
cabinets in your kitchen area, it will never seem like enough. Pots and pans take up a lot of space in your
cabinets no matter how carefully they are arranged and stacked. If you're the type that tends to just shove the pots and pans in the
cabinet, eventually you'll find them diving out the
cabinet every time the door is opened.
There is a great solution that is not only functional but looks great as well. You can clear up a lot of
cabinet space by putting up your pots and pans elsewhere. A great solution is a throwback to a kitchen item of old: the humble pot rack.
There are pot racks that can be hung from ceilings and suspended by a chain. They make great use of otherwise unused space in your kitchen, however unless you have a huge number of pots, they aren't practical. A
wall pot rack is an even better idea for most people. Many of these wall pot racks come with a shelf for holding everything from plants to favorite family photos to cookbooks. Many people like to use two smaller pot racks around their kitchen areas. If you cook every day, it's very handy to just reach out and grab your favorite pot or pan.
Free up some cabinet space in your kitchen and use a handy pot rack to not only save space but add a cozy touch to your kitchen decor too.

Update Your Dining Room
It's easy to get a new look for your
dining room. You don't have to spring for an entire new suite of furniture. It's easy to just change a few simple elements in the room to get an entirely new look and feel.
Change your lighting in your room. Switch out your boring brass light with an updated fixture. From simple
hanging lamp to full blown chandelier, any of these options will lend a wonderful look to your room.
Consider adding an
area rug. There are only a few considerations to take in when choosing an
area rug. You need to be sure the
rug is long and wide enough to accommodate the
chairs both when they are pushed in and pulled out. Your
chairs can become unbalanced if you do not choose your area rug wide enough.
Keep your table and switch out your
dining room chairs. A great way to bring a new look to your room is to mix and match
chairs for a Shabby Chic look. If you want your
chairs to match, go for an easy to blend design such as the Allspice collection. These comfy and casually styled
chairs are light and elegant. They have a framed lattice back with an inset upholstered pad, and an interwoven seat covered in a rich brown easy to care for microfiber, topped with a stepped edge curved crest rail, supported by shaped tapered legs, and finished in a soft, medium sheen, in espresso.
Candle can add a friendly, warm glow to the room. If you're having a get together and you want the mood to be cozy, add a number of candles around the room. A trick to double the light from your candles is to place them in front of a small
mirror so the light is reflected into your room.

The Focal Point in Your Bedroom
When you decide to design or re-design your bedroom, an easy way to make a room "pop" is to create a focal point and then build outward from there. A focal point can be a piece of art, vase of flowers, piece of furniture or even a bed in your bedroom.
Once way to make your bed a focal point is to place it in an unexpected angle. Most people assume that the
bed in a
bedroom will be in the middle of the wall and facing outward. Angle your bed in a corner space and let it be the center of attention in the room. Triangular-shaped
night stands will make a great addition to this type of placement of the
bed as they will fit up against the wall and the bed without creating unnecessary lines.
Above all, make your
bedroom relaxing. Choose soft color schemes for
bedrooms such as soft blues and greens or earth brown tones create a subdued, relaxing tone. A great
bed to use as a focal point is the
Whistler Pine Panel Bed. This
bed is made from New Zealand Pine and finished in a warm honey tone. The wood used in the construction of this
bed has been dried to assure low moisture retention as well as warping, twisting and cracking - this ensures a long life for your
bed.
Add big comfy pillows and use touches of the colors used in your
bed in your window treatments and in various places around your room to make the colors carry throughout your interior.

Time To Add Clocks To Your Decor
Although
clocks are meant to be functional items they can also add interest to your interior design. There are so many different designs to choose from; you can choose a traditional and simple round wall
clock to a standing
grandfather clock. All of these designs will bring something a little different to your room design.
Clocks are often used as finishing touches in the decorating of rooms. If you have designed or re-designed a room and you feel it just needs "something else" and you do not want to keep adding pieces of furniture or other items, try simply adding a
clock on the wall - in many cases that will solve your decor dilemma.
Even since the mid-1600's timepieces of all types have been used to provide functional beauty to living and gathering areas. Because each and every line of
clock designs are unique, you're sure to find just the right fit for your room.
A unique addition that many people find brings the best of both worlds to an interior is the
hanging grandfather wall clock. This whimsically designed throw-back to yesterday is styled to look like it is straight from the turn of last century. The plain colors and styles used on this wall
clock will allow it to blend seamlessly into the most Victorian of rooms to the most contemporary of designs. This
clock will make a great focal point in a room design as well, it measures in at H 80" x W 20" x D 3 1/4". It is larger without becoming overpowering in your room to the overall look.
Get the functional good looks of a
clock or
hanging grandfather clock in your room. This will also make a lovely house warming present for anyone who has recently moved or newlyweds that have just set up house for the first time.

Using Area Rugs To Your Best Advantage
An
area rug is for a lot more than to hide a spot on your carpet. You can use an
area rug to do a lot more than that.
One fantastic use for an
area rug is to make a small cozy space within a larger room. A good example would be if you have a larger room and you want to create a cozy space to have coffee or tea with friends. Use an
area rug to create a space to put a
table and
sofa on and make yourself a little place to have friends over for quiet conversation and cozy get-togethers.
In front of a fireplace is another place to put an area rug. Along with protecting your carpet from popping embers that just seem to happen when you least expect it; it will also lend an air of warmth and make the room seem just a little more cozy.
If you find that your color scheme in your room is a tad boring, you can use an
area rug with a few bright colors in it to give the room a little more "pop". If you find you have used two main colors and they seem to divide your decor, you can bring the two colors together and make your interior design flow if you choose an
area rug that has both colors in it.
Take the type of
area rug that you choose into consideration. Braided rugs, for instance, create a farmhouse look, while an
Oriental area rug can instantly make a room more sophisticated.
