Small Bathroom Solutions
Perhaps you are one of the lucky homeowners or renters who actually have a grand bathroom with plenty of room for both movement and decorating. However, if you are not blessed with a larger bathroom, it is definitely not the end of the world. When you really want to try and make the appearance of your lavatory larger, you can do so with a couple of smart tips and tricks that a number of expert interior designers like to use when the need arises.
To begin with, you are going to want to stop using floor space for
storage whenever possible. Of course, you want plenty of storage room for towels, toiletries and so forth, however, this can end up taking a whole lot of space away from walking room. If at all possible, you can look into "over the toilet" cabinetry or even some beautiful wall shelves where you can place some of your necessities. Not only will this give guests more room, but it can also create the illusion of a much larger space.
Another great trick is to use as much lighting in the bathroom as possible. If you have the money and the know-how, you can always think about the addition of recessed lighting in the bathroom ceiling. When you have room on your countertop, you could also get a beautiful table lamp. This kind of lamp, with a soft bulb, can create a warm and inviting atmosphere for your guests. With a little bit of thought, you can open up your bathroom with style!

Household Linen Care
One of the worst feelings in the world could quite possibly be wondering if you are taking the best care of your favorite linens to ensure that they will last you for a long time. After all, the majority of the best linens available today are rather expensive, so you want to be able to get the most use out of them that you can. As long as you have a good idea on how to launder and store them, you might just find that you can keep them in good condition for quite some time.
Some experts will say that it is always a good idea to try and save the care and washing instructions for your favorite household linens. If this seems like a daunting task, you can always get a small notebook or folder where you can keep them for easy reference. This can be a great idea, especially because there are so many materials used today to create some of the finest linens.
Usually, when you are laundering sheets, you will want to use lukewarm or even cool water on the gentle cycle. The less detergent you use, the better of you will be and try not to use bleach at all. What happens with bleach is that it can cause damage to the fibers, thus breaking them down over time. To dry, you will want to dry on medium heat as to avoid over-drying. Once dry, you should then fold immediately and put away.
For storage, there is nothing better than a linen closet. If you do not have one in your home or apartment, you can always look to the addition of a great storage chest or a bench in your room that opens up for storage. This way, you will always have fresh, clean linens nearby.

Fixing Up A Plain Room
There is just nothing worse than entering a room that seems stale and boring. If you happen to have a room within your home or apartment that could use a little bit of help, then you need to get on the ball and think about fixing it up. Sometimes, even the slightest bit of change can make a whole world of difference in regards to the look of the space. Keep going until you have a room that you are satisfied with and also one that you know any of your guests are sure to fall in love with.
If you do not have any time to repaint a bland color such as beige or taupe, you can always think about adding a bit of flash with some interesting furnishings and fabrics. You may even run into the situation where your rental agreement or lease tells you that you cannot paint, in which case the addition of furniture is a must. When you are looking for amazing accent pieces, go with a splash of color to really set things off. Perhaps you can find a nice coffee table or armoire in a gorgeous color!
Next up, another great time and money saving idea is to revamp the lighting in the room. See what you can do about a nice accent lamp or even a bit of floor lighting to give a piece of sculpture or a nice potted plant center stage. With a little bit of ambition and even a little budget on your part, you can spruce up just about any room in a day or two!
