What About All That Stuff?

Just because you redecorate or remodel a room it doesn’t necessarily mean that you also miraculously found a place for all of your extra "stuff". Which is a polite way of saying you still need space and storage for all of your extra junk. Well, junk may be a little harsh, but you get the idea.
Depending on the room and the theme of your decorating there are some really cool ideas that you can use for storage. However, you also need to consider what you are going to be storing. For example, if you are decorating your kitchen a glass front hutch may not be the ideal storage for things like your older pots and pans, many laundry items or cleaning supplies.
The same would hold true in the living room if you had things that were necessary but you don't really want them out in plain sight, then a glass curio cabinet may not be something you want to consider.
However, if your living room has been decorated in a casual and relaxed manner, you may want to consider a set of
2 Seaside Cottage Trunks. The set comes in two different sizes so that you can stack them if you wish. Or you may choose to separate them into different areas of the room. They are casual enough to fit into the scheme of the room and no one will be able to see into them, so your "stuff" will have a good home and your décor will be intact.

Those Delightful Daybeds

If you are looking for a practical yet stylish way to decorate a guest room you may want to consider a day bed. It also works in perfectly if you do not have a lot of space.
There are several different styles available with everything from fancy and frilly to a more sedate masculine look. If the cute, country style appeals to you the Hillsdale Betsy daybed is perfect with its softly textured light powder coat finish. Add some pillows and maybe an afghan and your room is ready for guests.
If you would like something a little less showy but still very stylish check out the Dorchester Daybed collection. It is beautifully done in a solid pine sleigh design. If you love the look of a daybed but are really considering something smaller the Loft Daybed may be the way to go. It is slightly smaller than a regular daybed and its seating is hardwood corner blocked frames with the fabric spring for extra comfort.
The daybed doesn't have to be relegated to the guest room; it can be an ideal option for a young girl. The
Sarasota Vanilla Marble Daybed is gorgeous with its hand wrapped wire decoration it will be a smile on her face. Or for a little more of the frilly that girls love consider the Bristol Canopy Daybed. It is a wonderful example of modern style with classic charm, with a bright white finish and floral accents and even has room for a trundle under it.
So, go ahead check out the daybeds you are bound to find one perfect for your needs.

That Is One Great Furnishing

If you are planning to remodel your bedroom you may want to consider making one furnishing the focal point and building your design around that. Maybe you have a really great piece of antique furniture and would like to make that design your central theme. You would then want to look around and see what additional accessories or furnishings would complete the look.
You can always shop for one major item, something you have always wanted or something that really says "you". For your bedroom there is a really gorgeous bed that seems to shout "look at me, I am amazing" and that is not an exaggeration. The
Salerno Canopy Bed is a beautifully crafted piece of furniture. It is made of hardwood solids, walnut veneer, Cherry inlay, Primavera Board, a rich walnut finish with antique brass finished hardware. When people first see this bed they tend to get a glazed look and you can almost see them drool.
One look at this bed and you will be trying to figure out a way to get it shipped to your home and be perfectly willing to redecorate your whole room around this one piece of furniture. It is that amazing. There are other furnishings in the Salerno line like the dresser and nightstand that really complements the bed and brings everything together is a beautiful way.
Once you get this home and set it up you may never leave your room again.

Is Your Nursery Safe?

One of the most exciting times in a person’s life is when they are expecting a baby. Other than the obvious needs like rest, nutrition, etc. planning the nursery requires a lot of forethought.
If you are converting an existing room into a nursery you want to make sure all of the basics are covered. Is it well ventilated as well as insulated against colder weather? Has all of the electrical wiring been checked recently and updated if needed? Have smoke alarms been installed? Once all of this has been taken care of its time to begin the best part: decorating the nursery.
If it is your first child you are more likely to want brand new furnishings, but don’t discount some hand-me-downs. Possibly a cradle that was yours as a baby can be used for your child and passed on again later to begin a family tradition. After checking out and deciding on rocking chairs, dressers and changing tables it’s time to consider what type of crib best suits your needs.
Naturally there are things you consider right off the bat such as the space between the bars, are bumper pads going to adequately protect your child? Does it have an adjustable mattress level to continue to protect your baby during growing stages? The
Vanita 4 in 1 crib with drawer is one of the many cribs available that covers all the bases. It becomes a Day or Toddler bed with a guard rail and a full-size headboard and footboard. It also has an adjustable 4 level mattress spring system to adjust according to your baby’s growth and needs. All of this combines to give you that sense of security for your infant.

Curious about Curios?

Normally you see information and ideas about redecorating a particular room or perhaps decorating with a certain theme. There are many great ideas about decorating and remodeling, but it is not often that you come across one piece of furniture that is so versatile it can be integrated into pretty much any décor.
The curio cabinet is one such piece of furniture. Think about it, it is something that comes in so many different styles it is appropriate just about anywhere. For your kitchen a curio cabinet in the smaller classic oak style with a light finish would be perfect.
If you were remodeling your dining room many of the classic curios as well as the hutch style would look great. The
Kahala Coast Curio with its tropical cherry finish looks absolutely gorgeous in a dining room. For a formal living room something like the Queen Anne Clock/Curio or a lighted curio with a deep mahogany finish. The Juliet curio cabinet is another wonderful choice with its elegant styling.
If you have a large den or family room the Wilshire Library curio cabinet would be a great asset to the decor. Perfect for books, music or whatever you would like to show off. Another good choice for a den or family room would be one of the console styled curio cabinets. The beveled glass doors and the hand carved satin finish are a perfect way to display your prized collections.
As you can tell curio cabinets really are a versatile and stylish addition to any decorating style. Their use is only limited by your imagination.
